André Oliveira

André Oliveira

André Oliveira was born in Lisbon in 1982 and started making comics shortly after. In an early age, he filled small blocks of paper with scribbles and dictated the subtitles to his grandfather to write. He attended the College of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (Degree in Communication Design) and is now a copywriter in a design agency. He wrote “Hawk” (ilustrated by Osvaldo Medina and published by Kingpin Books), “Tiras do Baralho!” (illustrated by Pedro Carvalho and published by El Pep) and the first three issues of his “Living Will” series (illustrated by Joana Afonso and edited by Ave Rara, his own publishing label). He also writes for CAIS magazine, he’s a member of The Lisbon Studio and is working on various publishing projects with several artists.
