Welcome to ACES WEEKLY Volume 21, Week Three!

You may know that a key policy of Aces Weekly is the freedom we give. I emphasise the word 'give' because it's an unsual one for publishers of any kind to use these days. The reason so many great works – including Harry Potter – are rejected by publishers before they get a sale is because those rejecting publishers want what THEY want, from a restricted view of what they perceive their readers want. They set up barriers of need from this viewpoint, which make them feel safe. But the new, and the fresh and different, don't come from safe which is why we don't want 'safe' at Aces Weekly most all of the time. We're happy to receive the free creativity that our Aces 'give' us, and we're happy to pass it on to you, with all the unfettered free expression and original thinking which that entails. With us, Harry Potter would never have needed to catch another bus...

Remember, we always want to hear from you. Ask questions, talk to us all, post to our blog, and see us over at facebook.com/acesweekly. Or send mail to [email protected] to see it right here, whatever you want to say!
