Welcome to ACES WEEKLY Volume 28, Week Six!

I'm happy to say we've got a global cast of contributors on Aces Weekly and I communicate with them all in the only language we can currently publish in : English.  I'm yet to master any other languages so it's just as well I do!  But during this fortunate ease of contact, it can be easy to forget that different nationalities often have very different manners and customs, and can react to things in a different way than a native English speaker might, even though they may seem to use the language in a very similar way.  I've recently been made aware of this, though outside of my Aces contacts, and it's made me resolve to be more fastidious in future, and to remember that English has become the widest language of international usage by default - it wasn't deliberately chosen as such.  As its source, all us natural speakers of it should remind ourselves that all others using it are making efforts towards us in speaking it, or in reading it, as they do while reading these pages of Aces Weekly.  We should respect them for crossing that bridge to us, when so many of us are unwilling to cross it in their direction...

Remember, we always want to hear from you. Ask questions, talk to us all, post to our blog, and see us over at facebook.com/acesweekly. Or send mail to [email protected] to see it right here - whatever you want to say!
