Rik Hoskin is an award winning comic book writer and novelist.  He won the Dragon Award for Best Graphic Novel for White Sand, with Brandon Sanderson, which made the New York Times bestseller list. He has also written for Superman, Star Wars, Doctor Who and various other popular characters, and helped develop a successful Spider-Man comic book aimed at younger readers. His graphic novel Karna: Victory in Death was named book of the week by The Times of India.

Rik has written almost 30 novels, many of them under the pen-name "James Axler", as whom he was lead writer on the Outlanders science fiction series for eight years, as well as contributing to sister series Deathlands.  He has also written scripts for BBC Television and Graphic Audio
