Algesiras studied art in the EESI (Visual Arts school in Angouleme, France) then worked 2 years in animation studios. She started working as a comics artist & writer and published her first book in 1999, "Candelabres" (Delcourt), followed with 3 other books of the same series (colorist: Nadine Thomas). She also adapted Pierre Bordage's bestseller Sci-Fi novel "Warriors of Silence" (les Guerriers du Silence) with Philippe Ogaki on art & colors (4 books, published by Delcourt between 2005 and 2008). In 2009 Algesiras started a new series as a writer with Aurore Demilly on art & colors, "Elinor Jones", published by Soleil (2 books, a 3rd one to be published in 2012). She also worked on several collective books as a writer and/or artist, also published in France by Soleil and Delcourt.
